Cookies policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This page explains what cookies are, what we use them for on stackbastion.com, and how you can control them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies covered by this policy include local storage and session storage.
We don't use tracking cookies
stackbastion.com uses cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible or self-hosted Umami) to measure page views and traffic sources in aggregate. This technology does not set a cookie, does not track you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you, so there is no cookie banner on this site.
Cookies set by third parties
If you go through checkout to subscribe to a plan, Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not this one.
If we later add a customer dashboard with sign-in, it will use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. That cookie cannot be declined without breaking sign-in, and this page will be updated with its name and lifetime before it ships.
How you can control cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking Stripe's checkout cookies may prevent you from completing a payment. The Information Commissioner's Office (UK) keeps a plain-English guide at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we add cookies beyond the ones described here, we will update this page. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent change.
